Humble, Texas is known as the City of Oil Booms. The first oil well in Humbles history was drilled by George Waclawski on January 2nd 1904 and it would eventually become one if America’s most prolific producing fields for over half a century until 1930! As you can imagine this incredible boom brought many people from all across our country who wanted to get involved with what seemed like unlimited wealth available right at their fingertips-and they came packing guns because there were Indians nearby too.

The early settlers to this area were not only seeking land but also adequate water sources for their crops. The first person known as being born in Humble,TX was Joseph Henry Dunman, who came here from Tennessee around 1828 on his way towards Texas’ Capital City: Austin-the then frontier town now known all over America because it had one of its largest concentrations of population ever seen within limits today!

Humble’s early history is one of oil production and transportation. The first crude was discovered by accident near Spindletop, Texas in 1901–a couple years before it would become famous as “the mother load.” Railroad linkage led to this field becoming known across state lines; within 10 years there were tank cars full (and then some!) leaving Humbles refine yard for coastal ports where they could be shipped abroad or used domestically depending upon demand.. By 1905 these rich oils were producing more than any other single source within Texas: over 138M barrels total between 22 trillion footnue/two!).
